Solvang, CA
Chef: Bradley Ogden
Solvang is the heart of Santa Barbara's wine country with a Danish influence. In the middle of this cute little Dutch town, my gf and I stumbled upon this trendy contemporary looking restaurant.
Root 246 offers a full menu of Chef Bradley Ogden’s signature farm-to-table cuisine and one of the most extensive selections of local wines.

An inviting, contemporary space.

Spring Asparagus Soup, lemon cheese caviar popper
This soup was smooth and creamy with the lemon cheese caviar popper as an extra kick to the dish. Super Fresh!

Grilled Jumbo Asparagus, fresh lemon

Honey glazed Duroc pork chop, Fava Bean tortellini, mixed mushrooms, smoked almonds
This was executed really well, the pork chop was just perfect with a lot of flavors.

I was impressed by them giving me a side of lemon and a cast iron tea pot for my hot water.
We really enjoyed dining at Root 246, it was too bad we couldn't try out more dishes as we had a late afternoon snack before dinner.
