We came here with a friend visiting from Singapore to this relatively new Spanish inspired cuisine situated in the middle of Castro.  

A long narrow contemporary space. 

When we first got seated we saw the wait staff slicing up a leg of jamon.  A good sign that the food was going to be authentic.

Located in a sweet neighborhood, Canela got busier as the night progressed.  Wonderful and lively ambiance with good service.
