agnès b. LE PAIN GRILLÉ LA LOGGIA

Central, Hong Kong

Agnès b. le pain grillé at La Loggia is tucked away inside anès b. LA LOGGIA, the first-ever agnès b. flagship store in the world, located on the third floor in IFC. This sophisticated restaurant overlooks the beautiful harbor view. La Loggia is the name of Agnes b.’s grandmother’s holiday home in Southern France.

The ambiance was peaceful with lots of light which sets the mood for a nice lunch with my two childhood friends.

Fresh warm baguette with homemade soft butter.

Salad tiède de homard
warm lobster salad with green and white asparagus, fresh rasberry & salmon roe

Linguini au confit de canard
Linguini with duck leg confit

Foie gras de Canard poêlé et en terrine
Seared and terrine of duck foie gras

This was what I was waiting for! A duo preparation for foie gras.

Linguini aux fruits de mer
Assorted seafood linguini with sea urchin

Being an uni lover, this dish was slightly below my expectation. I was expecting the same standard as the Sea Urchin Carbonara I've had at Morimoto Napa Valley.
The pasta itself was full of flavor, however, I  couldn't distinguish the uni taste out of it all.

Service:  When everyone got seated the server came and explained the menu to us in a professional and non-intervening manner.  We felt like we were in good hands until my friend J mentioned in a side conversation among ourselves that she had a sore throat. The waiter immediately interrupted and recommended J to try their special hot ginger tea.  J contemplated but decided to pass on it.  However, shortly after we ordered, the waiter came back with a glass of hot ginger tea that she did not order.  He did not say anything as he placed the glass in front of J.  We were quite puzzled by his action but decided not to push on it and accepted the glass of tea.
