Barbacco

Financial District

Barbacco seemed like an excellent place for a quick dinner.  The restaurant fills up quickly, so we made reservation.  The decor was simply, but classy with long narrow space with exposed brick and sleek tables and chairs.

At each table, there's an iPad drink menu.  Great concept, but it doesn't have a huge wine list, so it appears to be more a gimmick than anything else.

Duck liver fegatini / balsamic onion in Vasetto

It appears more like a liver pate.  Rich and tasty I must say.

brussels sprouts fried in duck fat/ capers
anchovy / red wine vinaigrette

This fried brussel sprouts with anchovy, and shallot red wine vinaigrette is very savory  with a sourish end.
