Hong Kong
The Grand Stage Restaurant occupies the entire top floor of the Western Market, a red brick heritage building formerly a public market. The bottom level now housed souvenir shops and fabric stalls. The restaurant itself is airy with lofty ceilings which makes it an ideal site for wedding reception at night. During the day, it is a fantastic venue to indulge a wide range of traditional Chinese dim sum with incredibly reasonable prices given the grand location.

The Grand Stage offers a comprehensive list of traditional dim sum with some exotic twist (e.g. foie gras bun). Execution was exceedingly good. Service was better than a normal Cantonese restaurant and the ambiance was great due to the soaring ceiling. However, the decor might be too tacky for some as it may appear like you're inside a Mainland nightclub (red wall, neon lighting and chandeliers). Regardless, it was overall good value, good food and we had a lot of fun.
