Located near downtown San Mateo, Sibby's was first introduced to me by my client in San Francisco years ago. The downside is that there is no sit-in area, purely for pickup or an option for delivery. Since most cupcakes are made to order, you must do this at least a day in advance. The ordering process is easy and smooth. You can basically tell them what you want and they will do it. =)
The storefront is painted a baby pink with red accent.
This is what you see literally when you walk into their bakery through cute red door. If you're not there to pick up your pre-ordered cupcakes, you have the options of choosing a few cupcakes from the already made "leftovers".
I bought a box of mini cupcakes for a baby shower. Their frosting to cake ratio is perfect with enticing scent and flavor. The best part is that the frosting isn't overly sweet like many other places I've tried.
