Queen's Pasta Cafe

Bloor West Village
Toronto, Canada

A & C took us here while we were visiting for some homemade pasta.  Queen's Pasta Cafe did not disappoint.  We were seated outside in the patio on a hot summer early evening.

Bruschetta (4 pieces) Roma tomatoes with melted asiago cheese

Black and white fettuccini
Served with grilled tiger shrimp, black olives, fresh tomatoes, garlic, tossed in olive oil and asiago cheese

This is one of the most unique dishes that I've had in a while.  The homemade fettuccini was literally dyed with squid ink on one side, which made it uber special.  It was fresh, aromatic and generous portion.

Linguini with grilled chicken
In sun-dried tomato garlic cream sauce

Satisfying cappuccino

Key Lime Cheesecake

The key lime cheesecake was a little disappointing.  As you can see from the picture, it looks like it was deflated from the summer heat.

Mango Sorbet

Toronto's August weather was unpredictable.  It was clear and sunny when we started our meal but mother nature played a trick on us and by the time we finished our meal, the downpour began.

Overall, great food great company.
