Bouillabaisse Marseillaise
(Fish soup with croutons and rouille- Fish, according to the market Congress, Grondin, scorpion fish, pout, Saint-Pierre, live)
Since we were in Marseilles, we had to try the Bouillabaisse.
The bouillabaisse contained three kinds of fish: sea bream, monkfish and turbot. Mussels were also thrown in along with a side of vegetables The broth itself was served with a rouille (mayonnaise with olive oil, garlic and saffron) and grated cheese served with slices of baguette.
The result:
A unique twist of flavor when dipped into the broth. However, we found the broth a little too "fishy" for our palette.
