Pera Makan

Ever since my annual visit to Singapore, I've never really tried any Peranakan food.  So my friends S and C decided to take us to this place for some local authentic Peranakan eats.

AYAM BUAH KELUAK
Chicken braised with the black pulp of Indonesian black nuts known as Buah Keluak. This is the signature dish of the Peranakans.

This nut pulp is combined with spices before they are pushed back into the nuts to be cooked along with the chicken

What a spice kicker!

BEEF RENDANG

CINCALOK OMELETTE

KACHANG PANJANG
Choice of long beans fried with dry prawn sambal and whole prawns or finely sliced in a prawn omelette.

Bubor Cha Cha
