Azul

Azul
Central, Hong Kong

We stumbled upon this place after a mixology class held at LKF Hotel as we walked down the steep Aguilar Street.  Just finished sampling a few mind-blowing unique flavors of cocktails, all we wanted was to  sit down and relax at a restaurant.  Without any expectation of Azul, we decided to check it out.

We entered the almost empty restaurant

From the menu:
"Sushi + Teppan & Aquarium Dining "Azul"......you'll be greeted by the 2-ton aqaurium - the biggest fish tank in Hong Kong.  You will find yourself in an amazing "water" world. "

Unfortunately, we did not noticed any aquarium until we read this.  We then looked around and noticed the fish tanks.  Not impressive.

Since we had no expectation of the restaurant, we didn't have any disappointment either.  The decor was chic and trendy.  We were initially seated at a regular table but the five of us wanted a more intimate setting and requested to move into a booth like table.  They were very accommodating and helped us move all our belongings.  The food was pricey, portion was relatively small, overall it was mediocre.
