Since we were in LA, we wanted to try a José Andrés' establishment. Located at the swanky SLS Hotel, we walked into a nice Vegas style entrance.  with dark toned interior, a fire place and glitzy chandeliers etc.  We felt we were totally under-dressed for a "casual" brunch date with K & D.  Nonetheless, it seemed like the maître d' still welcomed us.  

They were also able to accommodate us with a nice corner with comfy couches so that our toddler son can run around with additional space for our stroller with our baby infant girl.

A real twist of surprise with 12 quail eggs.  Love the idea and execution.

The price was a bit steep compare to other brunch places, but the presentation and ambiance was well worth the price.
