Uncle M and Auntie B took us here for lunch when our family was visiting them in Sacramento.  Situated at a corner of a cute little street in the town center of El Dorado Hills, Bistro 33 was still bustling with patrons attendance at 2pm on a Sunday.

Fresh and flavorful with excellent dipping sauce.

Dungeness Crab and Artichoke Dip

Though, the dip was a dissapointment when compared to the same dish at Palomino's.  We couldn't find a single piece of crab meat.

Overall, Bistro 33 seemed like a solid restaurant with a few misses and hits.  The fries and the ahi tuna poke were delicious.  Service was mediocre because we were seated by a corner, it was not as attentive as it should be. The ambiance was fun with modern decor. I believe it is still worth trying if you are ever in the area.

 A local's favorite Chinese restaurant in Sacramento, New Canton offers the usual Cantonese seafood and dim sum.  

Our uncle M caught a black bass in the nearby lake and decided to bring it in live to the restaurant for them to steam it for us. 

It was incredibly fresh and can be compared to the live fishes in Hong Kong!

The fish was definitely the highlight of the meal.  The rest of the dishes were pretty standard without a huge "wow" factor.
