Facing East

Bellevue, WA

Our friend M & T brought us here along with some others to devour some good authentic Taiwanese food.

It was authentic, fresh and deliciously.  Cravings satisfied.

Molly Moon's Homemade Icecream

University District, Seattle

Our friends M&T brought us here after indulging dumpling goodness at Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐, right upstairs from Molly Moon.  We passed by this establishment on our way to dinner and saw the insanely long line right outside, but by the time we came here it was half gone.

You can never go wrong with Din Tai Fung!  Notorious for its long wait, our friends were kind enough to go there ahead of time to put our names down.  Subsequently, you can check via an app on your phone to notify the duration of the wait time, and notifies you when your table is ready!  Genius!

At this particular location, the Chinese are actually the ones making the dumplings.

They were nice enough to accommodate my 21 month old son.

Strategic located in the upscale  Western U-District shopping mecca, Din Tai Fung did not disappoint us.  Maintaining its authenticity and quality of food, Din Tai Fung seemed consistent across other outlets in LA.  What made this location stood out was that the wait was painless.

Phnom Penh

Chinatown, Seattle

Phnom Penh was our first stop right after arriving at the airport.  L wanted to walk down memory lane as this was a usual spot that he would patronize when he was studying in this town.

Phnom Penh Special Rice Noodle
Gulf prawn, calamari, fish cakes, fish balls, sliced and ground pork served with thin rice noodles and finished with green onion, cilantro, and roasted garlic

Mee Katang Phnom Penh

This dish was superb! They first pan-fried the noodle with soy sauce before submerging it in with the rest of the ingredients.  It brought out the best flavors.
