The Balcony Grill & Bar
Irvine, CA
Our friends B & L brought us here because we wanted some authentic Taiwanese shaved ice but needed to be kid friendly.
Good authentic Taiwanese snacks. The shave ice did not disappoint, however we do prefer Class 302 more.

Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐
University District, Seattle
You can never go wrong with Din Tai Fung! Notorious for its long wait, our friends were kind enough to go there ahead of time to put our names down. Subsequently, you can check via an app on your phone to notify the duration of the wait time, and notifies you when your table is ready! Genius!
At this particular location, the Chinese are actually the ones making the dumplings.

They were nice enough to accommodate my 21 month old son.

Strategic located in the upscale Western U-District shopping mecca, Din Tai Fung did not disappoint us. Maintaining its authenticity and quality of food, Din Tai Fung seemed consistent across other outlets in LA. What made this location stood out was that the wait was painless.
